Hair extensions have become very popular as people are discovering that they are a great way to add length, volume and highlights to your hair. They blend in with your own hair making your new appearance look very natural. The results of having Hair Extensions added are instant and can be very dramatic with longer lengths giving a very healthy and voluptuous look in not time at all.

Most of the time, if the title doesn’t state it is Human Hair, then it most likely Synthetic. However all of our hair extensions are marked in the description as Human Hair or Synthetic.

The Raw hair for the majority of the Human hair Extensions and wefts we provide is sourced throughout India and Asia (as are most extensions on the market). However some Hair can be sourced form Mongolia as it is a finer fibre (similar to European hair) and suitable for use in wigs and extensions for the Jewish community.

The Hair Extensions we provide are mostly very finely graded “A” to “A+” grade hair. However some of the extensions are “Remy” quality. We have been providing these extensions for use throughout Australia and Overseas for use in Movies, Theater, Television, Fashion Shows and Every Day use for many years and are constantly complimented on the quality and value for money they represent.

It can be difficult to say exactly how long Hair Extensions will last as it will depend on many factors.

Hair extensions that are removed each night will last longer than the hair permanently attached as removing them avoids unnecessary wear and tear. Other environmental factors, such as heat and humidity can effect how long the extensions will last. Sea Water and chlorinated pool water can affect the life of your extensions as well.

Just like your own hair, your hair extensions will need looking after carefully.

There are many ways to apply hair extensions and it is up to the individual to make an appropriate choice depending on their situation. They can be applied permanently or temporarily which allows the wearer to wear then when they wish and remove them for care/washing and when sleeping.

Depending on how you would like to have your hair extensions applied will ultimately determine whether you need a hairdresser or not. Clip in hair extensions are very good for the client who doesn’t want to wear them all the time and would prefer to add or remove their extensions themselves. However, a client may prefer to have their Hair Extensions applied more permanently and look after them similarly like their own hair. In this case you will require a hairdresser (or friend with suitable skills) to apply your extensions.

It is always best to invest in a good quality shampoo and conditioner as you will find your hair extensions will keep better condition and last longer. Washing should be more of a gentle massaging/squeezing of the hair between your hands rather than a vigorous action that can cause tangling and matting

All Human Hair Extensions can tolerate heat so you can use any heating tool like a hair straightener or a hair dryer. Just like you would use these appliances on your own hair you can use them on the extensions, however do be aware that applying heat will slowly degrade the hair.

All heat friendly synthetics can tolerate low heat so you can use a hair straightener but only up to 350°F/180°C. We recommend a low-medium setting.

We use Australia Post Eparcel Express for all orders within Australia. Depending on your location in the delivery grid it can take between 1 – 3 working days. You will be emailed the tracking details once your order is dispatched so you can track its delivery online

International client will have their orders dispatched via an Express Courier service and the delivery can also be tracked online using the information emailed to them after dispatch.

Yes we do deliver internationally using a door to door courier service. However it must be a street address not a PO Box and you must be at the address to sign for the delivery. If this is a problem please feel free to contact us and we can try to accommodate.

With Australian deliveries, if you are not home to receive your order, a card will be left in the mailbox by the driver with the closest Australia Post outlet address where you can pick it up at your convenience.

International customers who miss deliveries by Couriers will have the delivery attempted again at a later date or will be contacted to arrange an alternate time. If additional delivery charges are charged by International Couriers for deliverers to unattended premises, Hair Extensions Direct reserves the right to pass on those charges to the recipient.

Yes we do deliver to Post Office boxes within Australia via Austpost. However International clients will need to contact us to make alternate delivery arrangements to P O Boxes.

All orders within Australia over $99 have free delivery. Otherwise it is a flat fee of $9.09 for orders within Australia. The fees for International orders are subsidised by Hair Extensions Direct and can be seen in the table below.

Shipping Charges

We understand that ordering over the internet can be difficult so we offer a generous return and exchange policy.

We are happy to Exchange your items and charge no fees except for the cost of posting out your exchange. Returns requiring a refund unfortunately attract a 15% restocking fee to help cover Bank processing fees and administrative costs.
